Most people who join an MBA program do so with the objective of giving a boost
to their career prospects. They look forward to getting a placement in a reputed
organization.
But getting an MBA degree is not always a passport to a comfortable job. You
need to have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes that employers
look for in a candidate. Apart from making you employable, these will enable you
to perform well in any organization where you are employed.
Though a good MBA program will help provide you with the knowledge,
infrastructure, and environment to hone your skills, a lot depends on your own
initiative and self-drive. You will need to put in the effort to seek out the
right knowledge, hone the right skills, and develop the attitudes/habits that
will stand you in good stead throughout your career.
The bottomline is that ‘You’ are responsible for your career. Use the resources
available to you during the two years of your MBA program to build a solid
foundation for an effective and meaningful career.
