Case Study on Bhopal Gas Tragedy a Finalist in the 2010 Dark Side Case Competition
IBS Center for Management Research (ICMR) case study 'Bhopal Gas Tragedy: Revisited after Twenty-five Years' was a Finalist in the 2010 Dark Side Case Writing Competition organized by Critical Management Studies Interest Group of the Academy of Management (AOM).
The case study written by Prof. Debapratim Purkayastha and Ms. Hadiya Faheem, was presented at the prestigious Academy of Management (AOM) Conference held in Montréal, Canada (August 6-10). The case study is about the Bhopal Gas Tragedy that instantly killed more than 3,000 people and left thousands injured and affected for life, occurred when water entered Methyl Isocyanate (MIC) storage tank No. 610 of the plant on December 3, 1984.

Each year, the Dark Side Case Writing Competition attract submissions from top B-Schools from around the world including cases from HEC Montreal, Babson College, York University, Witwatersrand University, Victoria University of Wellington, etc.
