About Pepsico

PepsiCo’s history dates back to 1893 when Caleb Bradham, a North Carolina pharmacist, invented a soft drink called Brad’s Drink. This was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898 due to its ingredients Pepsin and Kola nuts. In 1931, Pepsi-Cola went bankrupt and was bought by Charles Guth, a businessman. In 1965, it merged with Frito-Lay Inc, to form PepsiCo. Its products included Pepsi, Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Quaker, and SodaStream. PepsiCo’s headquarters were in Purchase, New York. Over the years, PepsiCo ventured into dairy, snacks, and plant based foods..
