Introduction

In March 2014, Mexican construction company, VINTE Viviendas Integrales, S.A. de C.V. (VINTE), won two National Housing Awards for its housing projects, ‘Real Verona’ in Tecámac, State of Mexico, and ‘Real Solare’ in El Marqués, Querétaro.

The project ‘Real Verona’ won the first place in the category of ‘Affordable Housing’, in which housing projects were judged on the basis of their affordability to poor people. The other project, ‘Real Solare’, won the first place in the category of ‘Design and Sustainable Housing Development’, in which housing projects that made efficient use of natural resources and conserved the environment were considered.

VINTE was established in the early 2000s to provide affordable housing for Mexicans with low-and-middle incomes. A vertically integrated company, VINTE was involved in all activities related to construction right from land acquisition to provision of various after-sales services.
