ABOUT THE COMPANY

Founded in 1975, Charlotte Russe was a privately-held fashion brand for young women. It was a mall-based specialty retailer of apparel and accessories including purses, shoes, jewellery, sunglasses, accessories, clothing, formal dresses, and even some decorations targeting young women between the ages of 13 and 35. It was started by Daniel Lawrence and his two brothers Frank Lawrence and Larry Lawrence, who worked in their family’s clothing business in Brooklyn. Later, the brothers formed Lawrence Merchandising Corp. and opened a clothing store in Carlsbad, California, in 1975.
