Introducing New Features

Over the years, Bumrungrad made constant efforts to upgrade the Hospital 2000 IS to provide better service to patients. In February 2002, an interesting and useful feature - Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) - was incorporated into Hospital 2000 IS.

Known as Amalga, it was run on a Microsoft Windows 2003/SQL Server platform (Refer Exhibit V). The estimated cost of the PACS was 28 mn Thai baht.
