Abstract Case Intro

Jack Tripper (Tripper) had recently shifted to a new house on the outskirts of the city. He purchased the house from Zili Depardien on 24th January 2000. Tripper was a cautious person by nature. Considering the various damages that might affect his property, on 26th January 2000, Tripper insured his house with RG Insurance Company against damage due to water.

On 1st April 2000, Tripper claimed compensation under the homeowner's policy for damages due to water.

He conveyed that the damage was caused because of leakage in the water pipeline. He added that the water had damaged the carpets, kitchen cabinets, furniture and other utensils as the water had flooded the entire ground floor.

Tripper told the insurer that the water had even damaged the walls of the building. Tripper asked the insurer to send a repairer to repair the damages.
