The Rise of Stellantis
Stellantis was formed in 2021 following a strategic merger between French car maker Peugeot S.A. (PSA) and Italian-American vehicle maker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Post merger, the company had popular brands such as Peugeot, Opel, Citroen, Jeep, Fiat, and Chrysler. The merger created the fourth largest automaker in the world. (Refer to Exhibit I for market value in terms of market capitalization). Stellantis aimed to leverage the strength of the combined entity in the field of innovation and sustainable mobility to grab a share of the global automotive sector.
