The Early Days

The idea for setting up Dineout was born when four school friends, Ankit Mehrotra (Mehrotra), Vivek Kapoor (Kapoor), Sahil Jain (Jain), and Nikhil Bakshi, realized how difficult it was to find information about new restaurants in New Delhi, India. The four friends realized that every time they went out to eat, they went to the same places they had been to. This was due to various reasons that included a lack of information about new restaurants, reluctance to try a new restaurant for fear of being let down, and lack of an independent website which provided information about the various restaurants in any city..
