In May 2023, Elon Musk (Musk), CEO of American multinational automotive and clean energy company Tesla Inc. (Tesla), said during a shareholder meeting, “We’ll try a little advertising and see how it goes.” Subsequently, in early 2024, Tesla came out with advertisements for Tesla’s Model Y on several social media platforms.
